so Scott and i decided to go on an adventure. we got in the car and started driving, found a super cool wildlife reserve and watched some geese and ducks then got back on the road, drove by a buffalo farm, a pony riding place and wound up in Lincoln city. we decided to keep driving, went to a lookout area at Depoe beach it was an amazing view and couldn't have been a better day for the beach, it was 60 degrees no wind and the sun was out the entire day. we kept driving until we got to Newport around noon walked up and down the historic beachfront ate at Mo's (famous for its clam chowder) demolished a delicious crab. after lunch we strolled into the candy store invested in some salt water taffy. we went to the undersea gardens and saw creeeeeeeepy looking wolf eels. then we went to the wax museum took a candid photo with the one and only Mr. depp. then we topped it off with Ripley's believe it or not. the sun was almost setting so we found a beach and hiked down to the water and watched the sun set on the beach. after that we drove back. what would have taken us about an hour and 45 minutes took us about 4 hours. we got ice cream at dairy queen, hit up the outlet mall in Lincoln city on the way home. then drove by spirit mountain casino. drove in, parked and thought (why not) we went everywhere else we might as well stop at the super cool looking casino. we get out of the car and the huge casino was on our right and the huge play land was on our right. we debated for about five minutes before we decided that the kiddy land and arcade was wayyyyy cooler lol. so we run (literally) to the arcade and play games for 2 hours got matching braclets then decided to finally head back home. we got back super late but all in all. it was the most fun I've ever had in one day.
